Kuching Day 2 05/01/16

Dateline Kuching .

Well the way i am writing for this blog is like i am penning in a diary for the my whole trip. Sometimes i begin to ask a question to my self ... how i am going to write about my trips and my food for the whole entire trip? So for today i will be writing it like a meal style . breakfast brunch  lunch and dinner .

So let's start with Breakfast and brunch  . Nothing much for breakfast but a simple yet fulfilling meal at the hotel Coffee house with a lot of good choices. So for brunch i got a chance to go out with a great friend to the one of the newer cafe that i wanted to tried and heard about this place. China house at the Old Courthouse  . One of the newer concept of cafe that sprung out the last few weeks from different friends' FB and as well Insta. So one of the place that i wanted to tried. So first and formost thanks Jason for bringing me here to try to brunch and sets.

The China House is has the ambiance of old cowboy western bar where by you feel like somewhere people playing a poker and someone drunk at the bar and people coming in with their Colt Pistol on their hips and challenge you to a duo . But here is  NOT . It has that kind of ambiance but yet it's homely and comfortable feel to it. You can come here with friends and play games and or have drinks and meals or even read a book and just relax and chill in this place . A place that i will recomend you to come only bad about this place, it's that it's small and not enough place and sometimes people have to wait .

the food and the cakes here are really good and nice. Surprisingly is that the coffee isnot too bad here as well. even though the grinder for their handbrew broke

That was brunch , Than it was lunch time. Man still a bit full from brunch but was let aeroplane fly (think cantonese) so went with Jayson out to another cafe called Feast & Furious.... i always thought it will be call fast and furious... hehehehe. So this place serve quite a big portion and not too bad . Mostly western style and the design and ambiance of this place make me feel like i am in a F1 or auto racing kind of museum . The place is really well decorated with variety of different things in automobile racing including a replica i think F3 car, lots of bike from super bikes to bikes for Sahara dessert, helmets of various design even Ferrari label's bicycles....the best of all is that whole entire the movies played were mostly the old F1 racing .. i saw the late 80's races when Schumi was still racing for Benetton

Than come dinner time .  I always love spending time with my friends whenever i come to Kuching. So like i say this time we went to some for Japanese Food. Sanga Japanese food ( shoutout to Foursquare #1) is one of the finest Japanese food i have tried in Kuching . Love the ambiance that the place can give. Food is good and fresh with some of the nicest sashimi i ever have in Kuching. But surprisingly for a small 2 stories restaurant it is quite full for yesterday dinner. Only let down i feel about this place is the service. Quite often that we have to ask for our drinks to be refill and even make a mistaking of nearly taking our plates before finish... beside that service part i think and i agree as how my friend say it... a Hidden jewel in Kuching.....  So thank you Ching Mun and Ernest for taking me here for a lovely good food !!!!

So here ends the second day and night for this very short trip. If only i can stay longer .... love this place so much that it's a place that i will definitively come back again again and again just for the food and people. Kuching i thank you for your hospitality and  smiles
