Dear 2022
Dear 2022,
It’s been a very turbulent year, a year which had so many
memories that make me want cry both in the life as a corporate guy, family life
and as well church life. A time to really reflect on what was the huge
difference compared to what really happen.
Started 2022 with a lot of people call a very mediocre beginning,
a beginning like just normal every year. Since pandemic hit Malaysia, we all
still were like reeling in the huge effect that it has cause. Celebrations were
mostly mooted due to the uncertainty of the pandemic, however still go on with
CNY was near. 2022 was also a year where I was mostly every Sunday without fail
was still in church hanging on and doing more and more responsibility in church.
From every Sunday as the “main Producer” for both being combined to back to 2 separate
service as the FB live coordinator to the monthly server and PA crew , it was
always been a more tired weekend than my normal working day, however the joy in
serving and as well as the time that allowed me to see what and how I can grow
the church as a whole was profound as we see technologies play such a vital
part of the new “era” as how we do church now adays . Much, we must adapt to
grow as the church need to more in the area where like Star Trek says it and I quote
“to boldly go where no one has gone before”
With some many things, one of things that I am proud of the
most is the ASCKL podcast of sermons. It been so much anticipated by people
from all around the world and our own church members. I receive messages, email
and even DM about our podcast esp. the time when I miss a few due tech problems
or even I am late by a couple days and when stats towards the end of the year came,
we have 14% growth compared to years to come. However, with the new decision by
PCC, I must look in a new direction for the podcast as I will not be able to
record or publish any of the sermon podcast as we will be not able to record
the sermon as the live telecast of service will be stop within the next 2 weeks
after announcements. Weather the Podcast will be done how. ….. is yet to be
decided and determined. Please keep me in prayers as I plan and chart the way
to go
2022,
You also have been a bad boy to me as well, from accidents
to death of a loved ones, it seams that you are never stop in hurting me. From
the passing of my uncle , accident, lost of friendship and love ones, 2022, you
also have been a also a reminder how life can so short and fragile .Same time
you also given me a lot of hardship , during the time when the economy of country
of was so bad, life was esp. with investments that were unable to be utilize and
such but needless to say you also have been a blessing to me during this time .
Blessing in forms of my opportunities, career, and even brand-new
roles of service for His glory. 2022 you have also given me more ways to see
how we can grow. From being someone who was just attending synod as a rep, to
someone in less then one term was presenting changes and as well as someone who
is working with others to make a difference from betterment of the church as whole.
Never have I imagine a small potato like me to be granted such a great opportunity
that has not going to impact the lives of church but also my life. 2022 also
see more active back in a lot of inter church and even inter denominations and
even international events. Being a completed PIRR course person, I am given so
much opportunity, ways and even connection with different people from across the
world. 2022, you also make me a healthier person as well. More exercises, from
once to now 3 times a week badminton, back to rock climbing and as well more. I
believe more of you will come in 2023
2022
In the end you have been a year of roller coaster, ups and
downs left and right even sometimes flip you upside down, but you always never cease
to amaze me in what lies ahead. As we come to the end of the 2022 ride, I thank
you and bid you adieu. It’s been a honor to be able to be with you and walk with
you for 365 days. I pray may be the good things of 2022 be continued and be a
blessing from 2023, for bad things, may it be a memory and as well as a challenge
for me in 2023 and beyond. Thank you for all those blessing and as well as memories.
Your truly
Nicholas 2022
